What we store and why
When you answer the cookie notice, your browser saves the word “accepted” or “declined” in its local storage for bettinginsider.co.uk. Local storage works like a cookie but is never sent to our servers. It exists only so the notice stays hidden once you have made a choice, and it contains no identifier that could be linked to you.
Because the site has no optional cookies, accepting or declining changes nothing about what is collected. Both answers lead to the same experience: no analytics, no advertising and no social media tracking. We still ask, because UK rules expect a clear notice before any non-essential storage, and we would rather be open about what we do keep.
Third-party cookies
No advertising or analytics business sets cookies through our pages. Fonts, scripts and images are served from our own domain, with no embedded videos or social buttons. The one exception is security. Our content delivery provider, Cloudflare, may set two strictly necessary cookies that help tell visitors apart from automated attacks:
- __cf_bm identifies automated traffic and expires after 30 minutes.
- cf_clearance is set only after you pass a security check, so the check is not repeated on every page; it lasts for the check period, 30 minutes by default.
Neither cookie tracks you across websites, and neither is used for advertising or analytics.
Cookies at bookmakers
Following a link to a bookmaker takes you off this site. The operator’s own website then sets its cookies under its own cookie policy, which you will usually be asked to accept there. Betting Insider has no control over those cookies and receives none of the data they collect, so please read each operator’s policy before you agree to it.
How to clear your choice
You can remove the stored choice at any time by clearing the site data for bettinginsider.co.uk in your browser settings, usually under privacy, cookies or site data. The notice will then appear again on your next visit. Clearing it does not affect anything else on your device and does not change how the site works for you.
For more on how we handle the technical data every website receives, read our privacy policy. Questions about this cookie policy can be sent by post to Lucy Powell, 13 York Road, Exeter, Devon, EX4 6PG, United Kingdom. If we ever add a cookie, this page will list it with its purpose and lifetime before it is used.
