A big European brand on a British platform
This Betano review starts with an unusual set-up. Betano is the brand of Kaizen Gaming, and it came to Britain on 10 May 2024, just ahead of Euro 2024, a tournament it sponsored. It did not build its own British business. BVGroup, the company behind BetVictor, supplies the licence, the trading platform and the core services behind the site.
The result is a bookmaker that looks new but behaves like an established one. Menus, the bet slip and the cashier will feel familiar to BetVictor customers, though colours and promotions differ. Who holds the licence, and why it matters
Betano has no Gambling Commission licence of its own. On the public register it appears as a trading name of BV Gaming Limited, account 39576, based in Gibraltar, and betano.co.uk is listed as a white label domain. The same licence carries betvictor, parimatch, talksport bet, heart bingo and smooth spins.
For you as a customer, the licensee is the company that matters. Complaints, identity checks and any sanction from the Commission all run through BV Gaming Limited, whichever brand you use. The licence itself is broad. The register shows remote betting on real and virtual events active since 1 November 2014, plus casino, bingo and gambling software permissions. Betano uses only part of that range in Britain, and this review covers its sportsbook alone. The casino side shares the account, but it plays no part in our rating.
A side note that surprises people: a white label is common in British betting. A platform company with a remote licence runs the regulated work, and a brand partner supplies the name and the marketing. Betano review of the football prices
We log Betano’s football odds once a day across the Premier League, the three EFL divisions, the Scottish Premiership, the FA Cup and the EFL Cup. Betano lists an overall maximum payout of £500,000, a ceiling most punters will never come near. Racing at Betano
Racing is not where Betano shines, but the basics are in place. Best odds guaranteed covers UK and Irish horse racing on early prices and board prices taken from 9am on the day of the race. Should the horse drift and go off at a longer starting price, Betano settles at that longer price automatically, with no opt-in.
