Bookmaker review

Midnite review: the sign up offer and the app

Our Midnite review finds a slick, app-first bookmaker that suits younger football and esports fans who pay by PayPal or Apple Pay. Withdrawals are quick, the app is rated highly and the weekly free bets club gives regulars something back. Racing punters should look elsewhere, though, because Midnite offers no best odds guaranteed.

Midnite review: the short answer

Midnite is the youngest bookmaker in our reviews and it shows, mostly in a good way. The app is fast and tidy, and everything from registration to the bet slip is designed around a phone screen first. It started in 2018 as an esports book and has since added football, racing and a casino.

What you get is a modern mobile account with quick payouts and good digital wallets, and what you give up is racing value and a phone number to ring. If most of your bets are football accumulators or esports, that trade will feel fine. The file below sets out the licence, our rating and the welcome offer with its terms.

A start-up with a UK licence

Midnite trades under a Gambling Commission licence held by Dribble Media Limited, account 42647, which appears on the public register. The company is independent, founded by Nick Wright and Daniel Qu, and it is not part of any of the large betting groups that now own most of the familiar British brands on the high street and online.

It is well funded for a newcomer. In January 2026 Midnite announced a $35m Series C round led by Raine Partners IV, taking total equity funding past $75m, alongside a $100m credit facility. Money does not make a bookmaker better, but it suggests the business plans to stay, which matters when you leave a balance in an account.

From esports to the Premier League

Esports is where Midnite began, and it still stands apart. There are markets and live streams on CS2, League of Legends, Dota 2 and Valorant, games that bookmakers raised on racing and football came to much later. A side point for older readers: these are team tournaments with leagues and seasons, closer to football than you might think.

Football gets the full modern toolkit. Bet Builder takes up to 20 selections, cash out comes in full and partial forms, and in-play betting is available. Live streams cover selected UK and Irish racing and some esports, so a punter can watch a Dota 2 final and a Sunday race card in the same app.

A word of caution on that 20-leg Bet Builder, which this Midnite review would be wrong to skip. Every extra selection multiplies the bookmaker’s margin into the price, so a long same-game multi carries far more margin than any single leg. Big odds look tempting on the screen, but the chance of all twenty landing is tiny.

Sign up offer and weekly free bets

The Midnite sign up offer follows the usual pattern: place a qualifying bet at the minimum odds within 14 days of joining and receive free bets on selected markets. No promo code is needed. The value and validity period are in the box above, and it is worth reading those terms before the first deposit.

Free bets pay the winnings without the stake. A £5 free bet that lands at 3.50 returns £12.50, not £17.50. They run out after a few days and only work on the markets named in the terms. The welcome reward is broadly in line with the market, so it is no reason on its own to pick Midnite.

The more interesting reward is Bet Club, which pays free bets each week to customers who meet its betting requirements. A weekly reward is useful if you bet regularly anyway. It is a poor reason to bet more than you planned, and the safer-gambling section below covers the limits worth setting before you start chasing it.

How we rated it without price data

Midnite is not part of the commercial odds feed behind our football margin tables, so we have no measured prices or fixture coverage for it. This Midnite review therefore rates it on five of our seven criteria. Price and market coverage are left out of its score, and their combined weight is shared in proportion across the other five.

Those five are racing and extras, payments and withdrawals, safer-gambling tools, the welcome offer and app ratings. The method is the same one we apply to every bookmaker, explained on our how we rate page. It means Midnite’s score says nothing about its odds, so compare a few prices with your main account before staking anything large.

Racing without best odds guaranteed

Midnite does not offer best odds guaranteed. If you back a horse at 5/1 in the morning and it starts at 7/1, you are paid at 5/1, while a bookmaker with the concession would settle at the bigger price. For anyone who bets on racing every day, that difference outweighs almost any app feature or weekly reward.

Racing streams are available on selected UK and Irish meetings, which is welcome. That makes Midnite fine for an occasional bet on the Grand National or a race at the Cheltenham Festival. Regular racing punters, though, should use one of the bookmakers on our best odds guaranteed list as their main account for daily bets.

Readers who reached this Midnite review from a football comparison should treat its score as a verdict on service, payments, rewards and the app, with price judged separately. Shopping a Saturday acca across two or three apps takes a minute and tells you more about value than any single rating can, at Midnite or at any of its rivals.

Payments and payout speed

Deposits can be made by Visa or Mastercard debit, PayPal, Trustly, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Revolut, from £5. Withdrawals go back by debit card, PayPal, Trustly, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Credit cards are banned for gambling in Great Britain, and no licensed UK bookmaker accepts crypto deposits.

Payout speed depends on the method: anything from instant to 72 hours, and the site warns that some can take up to five business days. One review site’s test saw a Visa withdrawal arrive instantly. With PayPal and both phone wallets on the list, Midnite covers the methods younger punters actually use, which is more than some older bookmakers manage.

The app is the product

The Midnite: Betting & Casino app is rated highly on both the App Store and Google Play, from several thousand reviews on each. Some review sites still claim there is no Android app; that is out of date, as the Google Play listing is live and was updated in October 2026. The file above shows both ratings.

Support is digital only. Live chat runs around the clock and starts with an automated assistant before passing you to a person, and you can also use email, Discord or X. There is no phone line, which most customers will never miss until a withdrawal is stuck on a Friday evening and the chat queue is long.

Safer gambling: the essentials

Midnite provides the tools every licensed bookmaker must offer: deposit limits, cool-off periods, self-exclusion and participation in GAMSTOP, the free national self-exclusion scheme. It does not add extras such as loss limits or reality checks that some rivals provide, so it scores the baseline on this criterion in our method.

That baseline is worth using, especially on an app built to be opened often. Since 30 September 2026 a deposit limit counts every pound paid in, with no netting off of withdrawals, and periods of 24 hours, seven days and a month must be available. Our responsible gambling page lists free support and how each tool works.

Regulatory record

The Gambling Commission’s register shows no enforcement action against Dribble Media Limited between 2023 and 2026. For a company that has grown quickly, a clean licence record is a good sign, although our method does not award points for it. Every listed bookmaker must hold a current licence, and that is the condition for appearing here.

You can check the register’s actions page for Midnite’s licensee at any time, and any future decision would appear there first. We look at the record whenever this page is updated, and any new case would be added here with its date, the amount involved and the rule the Commission found had been broken.

Midnite review verdict

Our Midnite review recommends it to football and esports fans who bet from a phone and want quick payouts to PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The app is excellent, the sign up offer is fair, and the weekly free bets reward regular customers. For a second account dedicated to accas and esports, it is a strong choice.

Racing punters and anyone who wants to ring a human should choose differently, since there is no best odds guaranteed and no phone support. Because its prices sit outside our measured data, check a few football odds against your main bookmaker before moving your acca. For a bet on a CS2 major, it is the account we would open first.
